The 2024 Trustees Gala

Looking Back:

The 2024 Trustees Gala

2024Gala (6)

On April 27, 2024, the Georgia Historical Society and Governor Brian Kemp inducted the newest Georgia Trustees, Ms. Carol Tomé and Dr. Louis Sullivan, at the Trustees Gala in Savannah.

Friends, supporters, and leaders from across the state came together to honor the Trustees, and to enjoy an elegant evening that included a lively conversation with the inductees.

The Georgia Trustees is a recognition as old as Georgia and is today the highest honor the state can confer.  In conjunction with the Governor’s Office, the Georgia Historical Society reestablished the Georgia Trustees to recognize Georgians whose accomplishments and community service reflect the highest ideals of the founding body of Trustees. Dr. Sullivan and Ms. Tomé are two exemplary Georgians whose history-making accomplishments and service reflect the original Trustees’ ideals.

Save the Date

The 2025 Trustees Gala will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Savannah.
