Dr. Stan Deaton, The Dr. Elaine B. Andrews Distinguished Historian at the Georgia Historical Society, will deliver the Constitution Day keynote address at Georgia Southern University, titled “What’s so Great About the U.S. Constitution? How We Got it, Why We Argue About it, and Should We Keep it?” This dynamic presentation will examine the history of the Constitutional Convention, the founders who debated and wrote it, and how our founding document continues to shape current legal debates, civic engagement, and everyday American life.
The presentation will take place on Thursday, September 17, on both of Georgia Southern’s campuses.
