On December 19, GHS is pleased to join Statesboro Regional Public Libraries for a special program for teens. The program, Archival CSI: Who Signed It?, will take place at the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Library, 9607 Ford Ave, Richmond Hill, Georgia.
In honor of the 250th commemoration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, participants become archivist “document detectives,” exploring cursive signatures from figures like John Hancock, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin. They’ll search for unique handwriting clues, compare styles, and practice the same skills real archivists use to determine whether historic documents are the real deal.
