Christy Crisp is the Marilyn Memory McMullan Director of Programs at the Georgia Historical Society (GHS). A Georgia native, Ms. Crisp holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Samford University in Alabama and a master’s degree in history from James Madison University in Virginia. As GHS’s Director of Programs, she is responsible for oversight and management of all of the Society’s programs including the Georgia History Festival, the Dooley Distinguished Fellows program, the Historical Marker and Affiliate Chapter programs, and all public lectures. Ms. Crisp also oversees all training initiatives and educational and outreach programs for adults, school children, and K-12-to-university educators. She is a 2014 graduate of the History Leadership Institute, a national leadership training program for public history professionals conducted by the American Association for State and Local History.
