BJ Green

BJ is Atlanta Group President at SouthState Bank and oversees the strategic development, growth, quality, and profitability for Commercial and Industrial, Community, CRE and Private Banking. He is also responsible for corporate banking activities including Middle Market, Asset Based Lending, Franchise Finance and Syndicated Finance.

He has over 30 years of experience in Corporate and Commercial Banking. Prior to joining SouthState, he led Cadence Bank in Georgia. At both Truist and Bank of America, BJ was responsible for Syndicated and Leveraged Finance activities including the structuring and origination of transactions in the Energy and Consumer Products space.

BJ is an active member of the business and civic community. He currently serves as Executive Committee Member of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Trustee for The Woodruff Arts Center, is on the Board of the Atlanta Police Foundation,Trees Atlanta, and the Georgia Historical Society Board of Curators.

He is a member of the Alumni Council at Chapel Hill.
