            <head>Organizational history</head>
            <p>The Cassels Company in Savannah, Georgia was incorporated on 12 September 1905. Originally, they sold wholesale produce but later evolved to naval stores. A. Gordon Cassels and R. Frank Cassels were the only stockholders and served as President and Secretary-Treasurer respectively.</p>

            <head>Scope and content note</head>
            <p>This collection contains a volume with the bylaws of the Cassels Company and minutes of the company meetings from 1905 to 1918. Also included are a memorandum and an unsigned letter to Liberty National Bank and Trust in Savannah, Georgia on 28 May 1941 authorizing F. G. Cassels to succeed R. Frank Cassels at the company.</p>
