 Scope and content note

This collection contains two letters written by Sheldon C. Dunning in Savannah, Georgia. One is addressed to E. Silsby, a merchant in Boston, Massachusetts on 12 April 1821. In this letter, Dunning explains the costs of exporting cotton to the north. The other letter is addressed to A. Richards in New York on 3 December 1839 and also discusses cotton sales.
