            <head>Biographical information</head>
                   <p>Blacksmith, Ivan Bailey creates unique pieces of wrought-iron art, from garden gates to furniture. In 1970, Bailey changed his major in college to blacksmithing after taking a course at the University of Georgia with Alex W. Bealer, his mentor.  After receiving his master's degree in 1970, he was granted a fellowship by the German Academic Exchange to study art blacksmithing in Aachen, Germany, under Prof. Frits Ulrich.  In 1973, Bailey opened Bailey's Forge in Savannah, Georgia.  Today his studio is located in Jasper County, Georgia.</p>
